We are a part of, not part from, the natural world. Connections asks you to see yourself as a strand in the web of life; these works contain forms of shrimp, crocodiles, and other natural wonders—including the human form.
I encourage you to look at the world through the lens of art and realize you are one piece of a wonderful, multi-dimensional and multi-colored puzzle. The last piece of this series, “Hands of the Artist,” holds up the planet for you to examine in a different way.
Connections also contains environmental blight like plastic bags, and thermometers showing global warming. Anyone who looks at my art should then ask: “What can I do to be part of the solution?”
